Since 2015, Thomas Jurbala of Las Vegas has directed senior housing at The Calida Group, where he focuses on property development, acquisitions, and investment opportunities. Active in the community, Thomas Jurbala maintains charitable commitments to such nonprofit organizations as the Alzheimer’s Association.

Providing health care to individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, the Alzheimer's Association has accelerated research on their behalf for nearly 40 years. In an effort to raise funds and build a community of support, the Alzheimer's Association holds a number of events each year, including its annual tradition, The Longest Day.

The Longest Day unites families and friends to participate in activities that honor loved ones who have battled Alzheimer’s and dementia. The next event will take place June 21, 2017.

In past years, teams have organized golf outings, community music concerts, and day-long arts and crafts marathons. Through these activities and other donations, the Alzheimer's Association raises millions of dollars that directly support its research and programs.
